INTRODUCTION

Gerard Joseph is an interdisciplinary artist with over 20 years of experience in acting, directing, and production.

Joseph’s training includes the renowned Meisner approach at Maggie Flanigan's Conservatory in NYC. He honed his craft on the boards of Off-Broadway houses before earning his M.F.A. from the top-ranked program on the West Coast, UCSD. He continues to expand his skills by studying Digital Photography and Film.

Gerard is a proud member of the award-winning Antaeus Theater Company and recently starred in Everybody, which was named Best Production and Beat Ensemble Cast in A Play. Antaeus’ legacy includes 30 years of classical theater. The actor and director is also affiliated with the Road Theater Company, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the development of new plays, and the Black Creators Collective, a group amplifying the voices of Black artists in the performing arts.

Alongside his Masters degree in Bioengineering, Joseph is a former athlete (baseball), competitive martial artist (Tai-chi), an avid motorcyclist, a licensed contractor, capable drummer and trained in stage combat and firearms. Gerard’s diverse experience, rich cultural heritage, and fast-paced upbringing in NYC enables him to wear many hats authentically.
